Judge Orders 50 Cent Not to Sell Fire Destroyed Property

State Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead has mandated that 50 Cent cannot sell his 2.4 million dollar property that was destroyed by fire last month, the Associated Press reports.

Judge Edmead also ordered the Queens rapper to deposit the insurance payout into a trust fund until the outcome of his legal dispute with ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins.

Immediately after the fire on May 30, Tompkins accused 50 Cent of sabotaging the home. She stated that 50 agreed to buy her a house a decade ago, but recently changed his mind and attempted to evict her and their 10 year old son, Marquise. The property is located in Dix Hills, Long Island.

Tompkins, Marquise, and four others were treated for minor injuries after the fire. 50 Cent was not present at the time of the blaze.

50, real name Curtis Jackson, is preparing for the July 1st release of G-Unit’s sophomore album Terminate on Sight, with remaining members Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo.
