This afternoon, Black Wall Street Records confirmed the production and feature personnel on The Game's L.A.X., releasing next month on Geffen Records. In addition to recurring guests in Nas and Kanye West, The Compton rapper branched out with his collaborations for his third official release.
Guests include Common on "Angels," along with veteran Ice Cube, whom many compare The Game's career path to on "State of Emergency." Raekwon and Ludacris also are tapped to make first time collaborations with the west coast rapper on "Bulletproof Diaries" and "Ya Heard" respectively, as Travis Barker lends his brand and drumming abilities to "Dope Boys," the album's reported street single.
With Keyshia Cole already appearing on hit single "Game's Pain," The Game has also enlisted Raheem DeVaughn, Ne-Yo, Bilal and Chrisette Michele for featured vocals.
Unless The Game surprises fans - as he is known to do, Dr. Dre is not producing or appearing on L.A.X. However, producers ranging from DJ Toomp to Irv Gotti to Kanye West assisted the Compton rapper who prides himself on his ear for music. Other contributions came from Nottz, Hi-Tek, J.R. Rotem, Cool & Dre and Scott Storch. Newcomers Tre Beatz, Dahoud and Knobody also provided music.
L.A.X. will be in stores July 22.
